Continuing Medical Education (CME)

SEEK is certified for CME credits by the Chesapeake Health Education Program. Physicians (MDs, DOs and those with equivalent medical degrees from other countries) may be awarded 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for Physicians completing the online SEEK Training evidenced by proof of successful completion of the SEEK Test and an Attestation Form. Additionally, participants need to read two articles and review the SEEK Guidelines and Barriers and SEEK Parent Handouts. A non-physician certificate of completion will be provided to non-physician attendees for the same 3.0 contact hours.

Before you can register for credits please create a user profile.

For CME credits:

  1. Log in to your profile page and then select “Training”
  2. View the 9 SEEK training videos
  3. Read the 2 key articles
  4. Review the SEEK Guidelines and Responses to Barriers
  5. Review the SEEK Parent Handouts
  6. Complete the SEEK Test
    • After you submit the test, you’ll see your score
    • A score of 80% is required to receive CME credits. You can retake the test as needed to achieve 80%
  7. Complete the required SEEK Training Evaluation
  8. Select “Register for Credits”
    • NOTE: you must provide your state medical license # to receive the 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1CME credits

 

There will be no new Performance Improvement training cohorts for 2023 after the first Friday of October 2023.  Please contact us with any questions you may have. 

Performance Improvement (PI)

A Safe Environment for Every Kid (SEEK) QI Activity is approved by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) for PI credits (20). This includes a Quality Improvement (QI) project that physicians complete within their practice, implementing the SEEK approach to improve care.

To earn the PI credits, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your profile page and then select “Training”
  2. View the 9 SEEK training videos
  3. Read the 2 key articles
  4. Review the SEEK Guidelines and Responses to Barriers
  5. Review the SEEK Parent Handouts
  6. Complete the SEEK Test
    • After you submit the test, you’ll see your score
    • A score of 80% is required to receive PI credits. You can retake the test as needed to achieve 80%
  7. Complete the required SEEK Training Evaluation
  8. Select “Register for Credits”
    • Complete the credits registration form and select Performance Improvement (PI) option (click submit)
    • You must provide your ABFM Diplomate ID number
  9. NOTE: if you wish to also register for the 3 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits, you’ll need to submit payment for the additional CME fee ($50) and your state medical license #)
  10. Submit payment for the PI credits ($100)

 

Part II: Completing the QI project (~8 hours / 8-10 weeks)
After your registration and payment are received, you will be contacted by SEEK to enroll you in the next available SEEK QI/PI Activity training cohort:

  1. Attend three 1-hour webinars / submit three cycles of data (~ 4 weeks apart)
  2. Submit ABFM Attestation form

The SEEK project will no longer be offering the MOC Part 4 training as of January 1, 2024. We’ll be providing information and materials for physicians to complete an ABP MOC-4 / ABFM PI Self-Directed training.  Please contact us with any questions you may have.
