Software has been developed to help implement the SEEK approach. Parents can complete the SEEK Parent Questionnaire-R (PQ-R) on an electronic device, via a link sent to them in advance. Some of the electronic versions of the PQ-R include follow-up questions, obviating the need to gather that information during the visit. All the information is summarized for the primary care professional, available at the start of the visit.

The software can provide guidance in assessing positive screens and in addressing problems, with the monitor serving as a teleprompter. Documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) can be facilitated, including what may be sent to the patient’s or family’s private care portal. The software can ease in printing the SEEK Parent Handouts and help with referrals to community resources. The software can operate independently or be connected to your EHR.
