SEEK has been recognized in the U.S. by several national agencies and organizations, as well as internationally.

  • The SEEK approach is listed as an enhanced primary care program by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in "Preventing Child Abuse and Neglect: A Technical Package for Policy, Norm, and Programmatic Activities.”
  • SEEK is listed in the S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention document on preventing child maltreatment -  Fortson, B. L., Klevens, J., Merrick, M. T., Gilbert, L. K., & Alexander, S. P. (2016). Preventing child abuse and neglect: A technical package for policy, norm, and programmatic activities.   • The SEEK Parent Questionnaire-R (PQ-R) is included in the American Academy of Pediatrics' Bright Futures Tool and Resource Kit as an appropriate tool for parent and family assessment during health supervision visits.
  • The SEEK Parent Questionnaire-R (PQ-R) is included in the American Academy of Pediatrics’STAR Center as a tool for screening for social determinants of health and maternal depression.
  • SEEK is listed on the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Child Abuse and Neglect website as a prevention approach that  provides training materials as well as CME and MOC categories 2 and 4 credits.
  • The SEEK approach received the highest rating (1) as an effective primary prevention program by the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare.
  • The SEEK PQ-R is listed on the Maryland Department of Health website as a recommended measure regarding Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) services​.
  • SEEK was funded by the U.S. National Institute for Child Health and Human Development to study its adoption, implementation, and sustainability in primary care practices across the US.
  • SEEK has been adapted and implemented in much of Sweden.
